Anglican Ethos

Let your light shine is a guiding compass that encourages everyone to focus on the school vision of “fostering learning excellence within a Christian environment that encourages students to flourish in all aspects of life”.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

As an Anglican school under the governance of the Newcastle Anglican every student is encouraged to flourish as individuals. We share the Newcastle Anglican vision, values and service philosophy.

Every Student

Every student is made in God’s image and we value and respect their individuality. We encourage individuality, promote student engagement, and accept each student as an individual capable of achieving greatness. We aim to inspire our students in a Christian environment where the foundations are set for future growth.

Education

Education is as much about the journey as it is the destination. Learning takes many forms both in and out of the classroom. In seeking to achieve learning excellence, we teach students to accept responsibility for their learning, work cooperatively, set goals and take initiative. Following the Anglican expression of Christianity, we encourage students to explore their faith in the context of the modern world, and demonstrate Christian values such as honesty, compassion and respect.

Graduation

Students who graduate from Manning Valley Anglican College have been nurtured to become authentic and capable young Australians, who can be confident in their abilities and their identities as they continue their learning journey.
