Sport Minimize

At the Manning Valley Anglican College we believe that sport helps our children take a challenging route – and succeed. It is about well being, physical conditioning and moulding character, about building friendships and creating team work.

We recognize the importance of balance in our students. Sport is a passion for many, for others, it is recreation and release.

All primary and secondary students are encouraged to participate in sport through our varied sport programme using our own campus facilities or local district resources.

The College is a member of the Hunter Region Independent Schools (HRIS) Association. This organisation provides the students of our school with a network for sporting interactions at the next level. Our annual Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics Carnivals provide us with the opportunity to identify our more successful young sports men and women and send student representatives to the HRIS events.

The HRIS hosts a range of different sporting events in which our students may compete. Participation in HRIS events may also lead to higher levels of competition through selection for the Combined Independent Schools (CIS) or the Associated Independent Coeducational Schools (AICES) carnivals or beyond.
